About

Sports, and discussing sports has been a passion of mine since childhood. My parents were always watching some kind of sport, and I picked up on that. I was enamored by not only what was happening on the field of play, but also what was happening behind the scenes. My athlete's body never quiet found me, but I decided my love of writing would be an effective way to contribute to the sports landscape, without actually becoming an athlete. I used to dream of being a Sportscenter anchor, but as I have gotten older, I realized I would much rather be behind the camera.

My ultimate goal is to work my way up to ESPN. It's a hefty goal, but with hard work and determination I can get there. My role models in the business are Colin Cowherd, Mike Greenberg, Keith Olbermann, Stuart Scott, and Peter King. I still watch ESPN on an almost daily basis, including shows like Sportscenter, Sportsnation, Highly Questionable, Pardon the Interruption, and Around the Horn.

If my sportswriting career does not pan out my backup plan would be writing in some sort of political capacity or perhaps practicing some type of law. The world of politics and the legal system has alsofascinated me. These are not my highest priorities, but I would not be disappointed if I up ended in political journalism or law.
